Buy It as Sheet or as Cut Soles
Slipper factories with their own clicker presses usually take thin EVA foam sheet, already embossed, and cut it themselves. Amenity suppliers and makers who only sew or glue take the soles already cut, split left and right, and counted. Both can travel in the same container.

Choosing Hardness and Thickness
A hotel slipper sole is a thin sole of closed-cell EVA foam, usually 3 to 5 mm thick, placed under a terry, velour, waffle or non-woven upper. Two figures decide how it feels and what it costs per pair: the Shore C hardness of the foam and its thickness.

3 mm
The lightest and lowest material cost per pair. The usual gauge for one-night disposable hotel slippers.
4 mm
More cushion while still packing flat. A common gauge for soles bought ready cut in 70 Shore C.
5 mm
Noticeably softer underfoot. For thicker spa slippers and premium guest slippers.

Non-Slip Faces for Wet Bathroom Floors
Guests walk from the shower to the bed in hotel slippers, so the floor side has to hold on wet tile. The pattern is pressed into the EVA while the sheet is made. It is part of the sole, not a printed dot or sprayed coating that wears away after a few steps.

From One Sole to a Full Run
Hotel slipper soles have no fixed standard size, so every order starts from the sole the buyer already uses or from three measurements.

Send a sole or three measurements
Length, width across the forefoot and width at the heel, plus the thickness, hardness and colour you want. A photo of a sole on paper with the measurements marked is enough to quote.

We make the cutting die
A steel-rule die is made from your shape. There is no mould. If you have no sole to send, we cut from the closest die we already hold.

Cut in your thickness, hardness, pattern and colour, and sent at no charge. Nothing goes into production until you have approved it.

Production, count and loading
Soles are cut on clicker presses, checked, split left and right, bagged by count and loaded FOB Xiamen. Sheet, if you take it, goes in the same container.

Hotel slipper soles ship in very large counts, so packing is where most receiving problems start. Every bag leaves our plant with its side and count already written on it.

What are hotel slipper soles made of?
Most hotel slipper soles are made of closed-cell EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) foam, 3 to 5 mm thick, with a non-slip pattern embossed on the floor side. EVA is light, does not soak up water from bathroom floors, and can be die-cut cleanly in large runs. SANSD foams, embosses and cuts this material in its own plant in Jinjiang, Fujian.
What thickness should a hotel slipper sole be?
3 mm is the usual gauge for one-night disposable hotel slippers because it is the lightest and cheapest per pair. 4 mm adds cushioning while still packing flat, and 5 mm is used for thicker spa and premium guest slippers. SANSD makes hotel slipper sole sheet and soles in any gauge from 1 mm to 9 mm.
Should I choose 40–45 Shore C or 70 Shore C?
Choose 40–45 Shore C for a soft, flexible sole on single-use slippers, or when you cut sheet in your own factory. Choose 70 Shore C when you want a thin sole that stays flat, keeps a crisp cut edge and stands up to repeated wear, as in higher-grade hotel and spa slippers. We can also match the hardness of a sole you already buy.
Do you sell EVA sheet or finished hotel slipper soles?
Both. Embossed EVA sheet is supplied at 1.2 m x 2.4 m or in a 1.4 m x 3.6 m large format, in any thickness from 1 mm to 9 mm, and sold by the sheet. Die-cut soles are cut to your pattern, split left and right, counted and sold by the pair. One container can carry both.
What size is a one-size hotel slipper sole?
There is no industry standard, but a common adult one-size sole is about 29 cm long, 11 cm across the forefoot and 8 cm across the heel. Children's and other sizes are cut to order from your pattern or measurements.
How does the sole stay non-slip on wet bathroom floors?
The pattern is embossed into the EVA while the sheet is pressed, so the grip is part of the sole and does not wear off like a printed or sprayed finish. Diamond, wave, rib, square, honeycomb and cross patterns are available, and closed-cell EVA does not absorb the water on the floor.
Why use EVA instead of a fabric or non-woven sole?
A fabric or non-woven sole soaks up water on a bathroom floor, gives little grip on tile and wears through quickly. An EVA sole under the same upper stays dry on the underside, adds cushioning and carries an embossed non-slip pattern, for very little added weight.
Can you match the sole we buy now?
Yes. Send one sole, or a photo of it on paper with the length, forefoot width and heel width marked. We make a cutting die from the shape, match the thickness, hardness and colour, and send a free sample for approval before production.
Can you put our hotel logo on the sole?
Yes. Send your logo artwork with the enquiry, together with the sole size and where the logo should sit. We make a sample with the logo on the sole for your approval before production starts. A new logo is quoted with its own lead time at the enquiry stage.
What is the minimum order?
It depends on the thickness, hardness, colour and pattern, and on whether you take sheet or cut soles. Send the specification and the quantity you have in mind and we confirm the minimum with the quotation.
What is the lead time?
Twenty-five days from confirmed specification and approved sample. A new colour match or an embossing plate we do not already hold is quoted with its own lead time at the enquiry stage.
How are the soles packed and shipped?
Left and right soles are packed in separate woven bags, each tagged with the order number, the side and the count. Bags are stacked by order, checked against the packing list and loaded at our plant. We quote FOB Xiamen, and CIF or DDP on request.

SANSD (Fujian) Plastic Co., Ltd. has made closed-cell EVA and PE foam in Jinjiang, Fujian, China since 1982, across 50 foaming lines on a 200,000 square metre site. The company holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, BSCI and GRS certification and is an authorised 3M converter. REACH and SGS test reports are issued on request.
